How much does age affect recovery?
« on: January 27, 2022, 02:59:19 PM »

In what ways will a 17 year old person recover differently than, say, a 25-35 yr old/average CLL patient?

Yes, definitely, in some cases more than others.
In fact  we all start "loosing" bone after 30 yo. This is more important in women than men but means that we should reach 30 yo with "maximum" possible bone health (specially density).
But it doesn't mean of course that bone cannot heal if broken and partially stimulated (by exercice, medicines and supplements, nutrition and lenghtening itself).

25-35 is probably not going to be much different in terms of recovery than a 17 year old--if at all on the lower end of that spectrum--if you're in good health and take care of yourself.

I second that. Age obviously matters but it's not all. A motivated 40yo who is in great shape pre-op might do better than a lazy, fat 18yo.
