Why does Styrde cause osteolysis? Due to nail or due to patient walking w/ stryd

Ex: is it the nail itself causing the problem? Or is it people walking more/using their legs more b/c they feel more confident to do so when using stryde?

Ex: if you used stryde but mainly stayed in bed, would there be a problem? Or is the osteolysis totally unrelated to the above stuff?

What is the consensus on this forum of the cause?
