3+3 twice
« on: April 02, 2021, 12:31:31 PM »

Hello guys, can I get 3+3cm and a year later another 3+3cm. Safety is my first priority and I want to gain more height since I'm only 157cm. How do you guys think the recovery is gonna go?

I think it's the fastest way to gain 12 cm if you have the money.

Well first off you should wait about at least a month in between lengthening both segments. Getting that first 3 and 3 isn’t that bad, but a year later they will have to re-break your bones, so most don’t want to go through that again. But it’s totally possible and not too much per segment so it shouldn’t be a terrible recovery, assuming you give enough time in between.

Quadrilaterals is not a good idea. 6 cm Femurs and then 6 tibia one year later would honestly be much easier, even with the consideration that 6cm tibia is quite difficult.

Agreed, just do 6 femurs, recover, and then you may not even want any more because 6 is a lot. If you still want more then do 5-6 a year after femurs on tibias.

Paley does 4+4 and then rebreak a year later. It‘s a pretty safe thing you can even do 5+5 and then 3+3 for example. Only downside is money (and more exhausting since 2 surgeries in a month and 4 bone cuts)

6 bone cuts don't forget about the fibula

a pretty significant downside though. all quadrilateral diaries ive read have not gone well, and the patient suffered immensely compared to just femurs only and regretted it

It may be safe but it is extremely difficult and I would just do Femur first, then one year later tibia

If you're a girl I highly recommend you settle with just 6cm. With your starting height the ratio of how much you can add is significantly less. If you were born a female than with sexual dimorphism your legs are naturally longer than your torso already. If you go through with 12cm you're going to face some potentially severe biomechanic issues imo.
