Before nothing.
After surgery during distraction probably nothing, but proteins for muscles are fair.
During consolidation proteins as usual, in addition Calcium and take some sun, it's free and it let you produce huge amount of Vit D.

Calcium supplements and the jarrows Bone up pills.
Take 10000iu vitamin D daily
Take some vitamin k2 (this is important)
Take calcium pills, AND milk if possible.
Bone up supplement. This is extremely good
The most important thing is the Bone-Up and Vitamin D+K2 and the Calcium pills. You can use exogen but focus on the k2 and calcium pills.
What k2 does is divert calcium into your bones instead of arteries

Totally agree with financial advisor and tartar.

You don't wanna preconsolidate early, at the same time you don't want to consolidate too slow till nonunion.

A smart strategy is to just avoid the supplements until a couple x-rays in or until consolidation phase. Also avoid weight bearing TOOO MUCH early on. Just do a little moving walking to cleanse the fat embolis after stryde. Weight bear depending on how good x-rays are. Most shud be fine tho weight bearing is still good it's just those that overdo it early on that r no good

K2 isn't vitamin D
You take D and K2, together.

D3 is vitamin D.

K2 is vitamin K2.

I'd also go for Adipose tissue-derived stem cells (ADSCs) or any other stem cell treatment to improve healing process. Depending on the country one treatment costs from 600 to 3000 Eur.

Jem_Semarc,

Did you ever go through with it? Supposedly you had your surgery this January. Best of wishes to you
