Are you really planning for the operation soon indian? If you are and you still have this braveness mindset then I really appreciate it and wish you the good luck for this operation and recovery. Because I was also not concerned much about the complications and always thought that I would not become unlucky, until I sent the email to reserve the operation date. When they asked to me to confirm then I asked to them for more time and have not been able to get the good sleep every night thinking about this.

If deep bone infection and the pulmonary embolism was not a risk I will do this operation tomorrow!

I understand your point but If you really want to do the surgery then you have to accept the risk and if complications happen then you have to deal with them. Dr giotikas once said the complications are same as a hip replacement or joint replacement and still a lot of people get those surgeries.

You are way too worried about this thing. Every orthopedic surgery has risks of infections, expecially when metal objects are placed, but it’s a reasonable and low risk. You can think about all the people with external fixator; infections should be extremely common since screws go through the skin, but it’s not so. Most of people with osteomyelitis doesn’t even have nails in their bones but just chronic diseases, expecially in older people. You are not considering all the other risks, in my opinion way more important, such as slow/poor healing, loss of function; they are quite common facts that can decrease drastically your quality life.

This topic is useless , you don't need blood transfusion during or after surgery if your HEMOGLOBIN level is above 13.5 in males and 12.5 in female adult and healthy.
hemoglobin level can be increased a few days before surgery by giving medications which increases hemoglobin level.
