3-4cm tibia and 4-5cm femur for powerlifting
« on: April 10, 2021, 03:14:59 AM »

I am 5'7 and I really like bodybuilding-powerlifting, however I have always wanted to develop a serious career in power, but I would also like to be taller. I am 5'7, and I would like to elongate 3-4cm in the tibia and 4-5cm in the femur, and at 5'9 I think I would be quite satisfied (and if I used shoes with really high rises I could measure more).

Do you think it could affect my performance in powerlifting a lot if I increase that amount? I know that the femurs and my levers will change a lot, but if my performance decreases a bit, I really would not care.

I think there was some study showing people a few years down the line getting to within 3% of their pre-lengthening strength.

You're still stretching your soft tissues though, so there's no way lengthening will improve your strength compared to before. If you're thinking competition powerlifting, it'll only hinder you.

Are they being stretched or regrown? Lol even to this day I am not sure. Everybody says something different.

your whole lower body muscles will be dragged along side while extending your legs. They can be stretched and regrown to be bigger
