How does it feel like being 168cm and taller
« on: January 01, 2021, 04:21:13 AM »

Happy New year Guys!
Hope everyone’s well

First of all it’s been a year now since I joined this forum. I joined on 25th December 2019.
It was like a new dream, a new hope for me when I found out about this surgery  a chance to change myself, a dream of becoming taller...

Recently I realised, saw many people who are 5Ft6 (168cm) or taller people who want to do this surgery or have done it. It actually kinda got me surprised but it also made it sense.

My question to you guys is how does it feel like being 168cm, or taller infact. Me being a 156cm male is extremely below average hence I am on this forum... but being 168cm that is definitely not a bad height for a male. 168cm 5ft6 is still not tall for a male so what had me wondering more was people who were 175 or taller  who wanted to do this surgery... I couldn’t understand it. Even at 156cm I still attract woman, for I have a decent looking face. The height will only be an additional boost for me...

So guys why would someone who is 168cm or taller want to do the surgery  ... I know everyone has their own reasons and goals and humans greed never ends but someone please explain to me if I missed anything
Height is only another thing added to the appearance I believe the looks come first and then it’s the height but goes both ways others would say personality comes first ...

Anyways someone who is 5ft6 (168cm)please tell me
how do people approach you and are you still considered as short and are woman still taller then you ??
I’ve seen most females at 5ft5 last and few at 5ft6 and rare who are taller then 5ft6.
I personally believe at 5ft6 your good, but I guess it’s still short

No offence to anyone only saying how I feel

If I was 168cm I definitely wouldn’t do this surgery. It’s a lot of money, there are risks, at 168 cm your not a dwarf nor are you shorter then most females.
I’ve seen females who are taller then me, in fact this one girl told me “ we”re the same height in bed “ the girl was 5ft7 170cm and me I’m 156cm and she didn’t have a problem... i believe he height is just an additional boost, to add to your confidence Just like having white teeth, but height is still more then that ... height is how we look, how people see us ...

If someone who doesn’t know you and they want to mention you, they’ll describe you by your appearance... “ it was a short guy” no one wants to be called that short kid ...
I’m no one to tell other people about which height Is good or bad but all I know is I’m 156cm and I’ve been told by a taller girl that height doesn’t matter ... and infact it doesn’t but it does make you feel good and when you feel good you do good

168cm in most first world countries puts you in the bottom 20% of height. Guys at that height when I was growing up would regularly be short enough in group situations for it to be a defining trait and it was always viewed as a significant negative.

In South East Asia 168cm might be ok but it's considered short most other places.

Perhaps, if a guy is very confident and has a pretty face, he will not have problems with girls even at 168 cm. I have such a friend, he is 169, he never worried about his height and he never had problems with girls. By the way, he recently got married. Of course, I understand that not every short man can be as confident as he is. I also have the opposite example - another friend with about the same height, he was always very shy and insecure and he is not very good with girls. Therefore, it all depends on the specific person.

It depends on where you live and the average size of men, there.

Who said females are the only reasons to do it?
I'm 175cm (5'9) and the tallest woman I been with quite recently was 185 (6'1) girl and she never mentioned height AT ALL. Not to mention within that particular social circle there were plenty of 190cm+ guys.

You gotta come across as strong and confident, and take of your looks and you shouldn't suffer at most heights IMO.
I still am planning to do Stryde femurs 7cm this year because I really want to be 182cm for me as I always simply wanted to be taller, not for women.

I'm 167/168cm and my surgery is booked in 1 month with Dr. Giotikas. I'm aiming for 7cm because I just want to be average height.

Although I know I'm shorter than average, my height has never really held me back in life. I've had relationships and I've been successful in other aspects in life such as my career.

The reason I'm getting the surgery at my height is because I think we only get one life, so if I can do something to improve it, I may as well do it. I think being average will definitely give me increased confidence (although confidence is internal so you can be confident at 168cm too). I can't deny that I think about my height often, and wishing I could be taller. I'm fortunate to be successful in my career so the cost isn't a concern or even a factor in me deciding to get this surgery.

168cm will be a great height from being 156cm, it will definitely change your life.

Hope that helps!

I was 1,68m before my surgery.

Yes, with 1,68 you dont have so many problems like if you are under 1,60m.

But i needed it for my Self. Until age 13 i was always one of the tallest guys

Thanks a lot everyone who gave feedback. It was all very helpful. I guess it’s not always about woman and you can be happy at any height.

I'm about 171 cm

Honestly life is pretty normal at this height. But you still feel short. Like I would guess 8/10 men are taller than me (I'm in the US). Simply getting 5 cm femurs would put me at 176, right at the average, and now all of a sudden only 5/10 men will be taller than me. I won't feel short any longer but just feel average.

That's my goal

5’9.5 here

Average height, for most part you’re eye level with most men, and tower over women by about 1-3 inches.

I have some colleagues who are 6’0 to 6’2, and tower over, at the same time, you are at eye level with many people, and tower others who are under 5’9, so you’ll feel like Malcom in the middle.

When it comes to women who are under 5’9 and have interest in you, you’ll get complements like “you’re pretty tall”.

When you’re dating women who are the same height or 1-2 inches taller than you, they go out with you because of your personality.

However, I’m not implying that shorter women only go for height, for the most part, I can feel it’s just a bonus.

Overall, it’s a meh feeling, that’s the best feeling I can describe for being an average height individual.

Well as for myself i am not doing this for anyone i will do it for myself to feel better abt myself and also the added bonus is there of being a bit taller....yes height is very relative my best friend who looks like an italian model just a shorter one at my height of 171cm....but he also has a amazing personality and IQ and he is the one who has been with the most girls in my group....and i also have a friend who is 6'2 230lb and so good looking..and so far he is among the ones with the least relationships....so yeah it depends on many things....and as for u gman i wld say from 156 to 168 u will definitely get a major boost in ur overall life experience....considering u r already laying with 5'7 chicks..which is considered tall for a woman even from a 6'3 guy..so all the best with whatever ur decision is but be cautious abt it and be on the safe track with ur goal don't jeopardize function over length.

An 168 cm man, even good looking, WILL have problem with women because he is still too short compared to the average man and many women will reject him only for it.
The same man at 175 cm won't have much problems because even a little shorter that average, his looks are enough to do the job with women.

That said, only a very few men are very good looking, most attractive men have ok faces and good bodies with more than average heights
So the vast majority of 168cm are not only short but not even very good looking which makes it even harder to become attractive to a woman.

(170)The only reason why id like do this surgery is because im pretty much good with all other aspects in my life so far and when it comes down to it me knowing there was something i could of done with my height but never did is worse then not trying (This is something you have to do for yourself and only for you only other wise you'll keep running into issues). Umm we all have different opinions but i think height comes first because the first thing a female will see is your height and how fit you are and how most females only want a guy whose only +182 but are 157 tall besides the fact this generation doesn't really care much a lot personality and which is why there are so many hook ups compared to solid relationships. As for people approaching me its normal im not sure what you mean (maybe saying that alone is an answer)...  am i intimidated by people who are taller then me? Umm not so much maybe if a cute female is like 3 inches taller yeah but to be honest its more a mutual respect with guys i don't hear people from my jobs refer to me as short . But again you never know what people are saying behind your back but i tend to give people the benefit of the doubt . As for females if i had to give a percentage based on females i came across that are my height id say maybe 2/10 are my height and its not as often but it happens where i message a female and she tells me shes like 175 so that kinda kills it right there. But in all honestly if you are getting8s 9s or even 10s females at what ever height that's below average and do LL then its pretty much common sense you'd get 2x the females that are like that and those who liked you before would most likely want you even more now that you are taller then you were originally but if you can get to 168 you can wear lift lol anyways best of luck looking forward to reading your journey :)

Essentially the answer appears to be that height neurosis isnt exclusively due to women but for a vast range of otger reasons also :)
