Honestly man, I've felt the same way. There are much better facilities for a similar price like Halil Buldu offering a 5-star hotel right next to the hospital. I still find it so hard to believe that such a good doctor like Parihar would be in such a terrible looking hospital. Obviously, the appearance of the hospital shouldn't be the sole determiner of the quality of the doctor, but I think that it speaks volumes about the quality of care you will receive.
For Parihar's lack of experience with CLL, I always think about an analogy that one of the people here said: "Would you rather fly with a perfect record pilot who has flown 1,000 hours with 0 emergency landing experiences or a pilot who has flown 50,000 hours with 1,000 hours of emergency landing experiences?" I think many would choose the second choice.
Despite this, I've already paid Parihar $200 for consultation and I am planning to go with him over anyone else. If you are planning to do LL in a notoriously terrible place like India, you better be CONFIDENT that your doctor is not bullsh*t. It appears that Parihar genuinely believes in function over length, something that MANY doctors completely disregard. Since he has turned away patients in the past because of rigid lengthening limits, it appears that he isn't money hungry like a lot of doctors in this industry who will exploit people who are prone to such vulnerabilities. I personally value those two characteristics so greatly, that I am willing to sacrifice a lot. In reality, perhaps the sacrifice is not worth it, who knows.
Another big influence was the two diaries from Penguin and Kilokhan. This kilokhan dude is helpful as fk to everyone over 6 years after his surgery. I've read Kilokhan's diary like the bible which is one of the most detailed diaries in the form. He vouches for Parihar and he doesn't read like a Parihar shill to me, but instead as someone who deeply believes that Parihar is a great doctor.
