Muscle tightness genetics affecting lengthening
« on: November 15, 2020, 02:37:35 AM »

This may seem obvious but would like to see what you guys think. If someone had lengthened their femurs and had difficulty with muscle tightness even with doing exactly the PT required by the doctor and having to stop before their goal does it then make sense that they would have difficulty with muscle tightness lengthening their tibias as well? Or could it be that someone has tight thigh muscles but loose calf muscles?

I did femurs and my muscles got very tight around 70mm. I did follow all physical therapist and doctors advice.  You may be able to avoid tightness by doing lots stretching before the surgery, stay on top of PT and stretch prior to every lengthening session. Most people do get tight near end of the lengthening though

most likely if your femurs are too tight your tibias will be tight too, and very possibly your muscles are just tight all around because of lack of stretching/mobility.
