Random growth spurts at early ages
« on: October 05, 2020, 09:04:08 PM »

I've already accepted my growth plates might already be closed.

This is just something I've been wondering about for a while.

When I was 6, I went from 3'4" to 3'8". That's four inches in a year and the average is 2. This wasn't puberty or the rapid growth at <2 years old. I went from the 0.3rd percentile to the 1.xxth. I was wondering, do kids have random growth spurts like that all the time? Has anyone else had one of these before?

Now if I could only go from 5'4.xx" to 5'8.xx" this year.
