skating after CLL
« on: July 24, 2020, 06:31:53 PM »

Hello,

I want to skate, would it be too hard after CLL?
Or, after a year or something, can I try hard on skating?

Best Regards

You have to wait until you return to your normal activities.
The bone gets longer, but it is not weakened, but maybe the different length of your legs make things a bit harder, because moving your ankles a certain angle means more displacement of your feet, but that is just like tall people.

Note: at this moment I'm only a "pretender", I want to know more about this interesting procedure. Hopping to become 185 cm (6'1'') from 174 cm (5'8 ½''), but it is too expensive.
My sitting height is 92½ - 94 cm (36''½ 37''), my length of legs is 81 cm (32'') and my armspan is 180 cm (70'' 7/8).

Thanks for the answer. We kinda have the same goal btw. 173 to 185cm.
What is your wingspan, and sitting height?

My wingspan is around 181cm, and my SH is 90.5cm although i'm skinny as fk. Not even a little bit of fat on my ass.

Best Regards

How did you measure your SH?

I probably didn't measure it so well, but i was sitting on a stool which had a hard surface, not something soft and bouncy.
and I leaned it against the wall, sat down and marked my head. And measured the distance beetween the mark and the stool's surface.

Still, give or take 2 cm's.

We have the same goal as well.
But I only have 5 more cm to go.

Yes you can skate being 185 after lengthening.
It’ll take more than 2 years though.
Count on three and then you’ll be happy if you can do it before that.

Hello, Sweden!

The amount of the lengthening you've done needs courage. I'm glad that you are doing well!
and I'm pretty sure if you could turn back into the time, you probably would like to go the 7 on FEMURS instead of tibias, and go the 5 on tibias.

So, that's what i'm planning to do. But seriously, I think even 7cm on femur is kind of not safe. I think the LEGIT max limit is 6cms. But I also don't think the last 1 cm would occur complications like going for 5 to 6 on tibias. I'm still thinking of it though. Maybe I drop it at 184cm.

Best Regards!

My sitting height is 92.5-94 cm (36''1/2 - 37'', not bad) and my armspan is 180 cm (70'' 7/8).
