  • I must reach 190 cm
my initial thoughts
« on: June 25, 2020, 05:03:27 PM »

Hello, I am new here. I got here due to my so long ambition of increasing my height.

I am 18 years old. My goal is ~190 cm.

Since I am young... should I try something other than LL to increase my height first ? My family, brother/father/mother all grew after 18 years old so I could be lucky too. I heard supplements vitamins , gym/stretching helps. I have even heard of the use of other chemicals but I dont remember.

I think some years ago a doctor took a measurement of me on a stadio-meter and it showed 179cm.
These days I have drawn a ruler on the wall, and I measured my self I think 180cm in the afternoon.

What are my options to reach 190cm from 180cm ? ( 188cm is cool too for me )

( P.S. What my family told me was that , around my age they were growing very slowly and then suddenly a growth spurt occurred )

By the way I have a terrible posture so I should also fix that too but I dont know how.

8cm femurs will take you to 188cm. One surgery
 Should be no problem.

To get to 190cm you will need to break both the tibia and the femur. This is much more lengthy and difficult. And it will cost double. Many people suffer way more when doing this versus just one leg bone.

Although growing after 18 is rare, your genetics seem prime for you to get a few more cm before you stop growing even at that age.

So 8cm in one operation that sounds good. Hopefully I will be at least 182 by then tho. Is there anything I can do to make the most out of my possible growth? Also how to fix my terrible posture? I could be taller and I wouldnt know :(

Don't sit too often, try to stand every once in a while. Try stretches for anterior pelvic tilt.

Back 10 years ago I used to go on a forum about growing taller.  This one guy claimed to have spent the bulk of his summer pretty much running and swimming all day, and eating well obviously, and claimed to have shot up in height.  Intense exercise releases HGH so there's probably something to it.  Also another takeaway from the forum was to stay away from sugars and carbs before exercising because the insulin spike suppresses the production of HGH.  Probably want to fast right before eating as well since night time is when your body makes more HGH and grows.  It's summer time so if you think your growth plates are still open then I would give it a shot.  But its a big commitment running and biking for hours everyday.  Intensely in order to produce lactic acid and HGH.  Good luck with it if you do it.
