Availablity of precice and stryde outside of USA
« on: March 27, 2020, 04:41:24 PM »

Precice and Stryde are manufactured in USA. International traveling is heavily restricted now due to covid-19. I suspect it might take a long time for Precice and Stryde to be available outside the US again.

The restrictions are on passenger travel. I highly doubt that the US will restrict the export of goods because it won't make sense and the US should have an interest in keeping the economy alive rather than killing it by stopping exports.

Good point :)

But I bet the sales reps won't be able to travel as much. They will have to hire local reps in various countries.

it is already available in Europe, docs even have a few spare ones in stock, and they can order more even now, nothing is changed in that respect

Yeah you're probably right @llj. Some countries could be more careful about medical imports though. And getting priority for elective surgery can take a long time in many countries. Because of this crisis, they may prioritize important surgeries before elective LL.

@curlyfella, lots of surgeons in europe use Stryde now. Germany (Betz, Salameh I think), Spain (Monegal), Italy (Pili, Guichet) are some docs that are willing to use Stryde.
