Yes. the first day you've probably on morphone or the strong pain killer through the IV which will make you very dizzy if you try to force yourself physically, I almost passed out as well my first day and second day post surgery when they tried to do PT, it wasn't until they took me off morphine and out me on norcos that I was able to walk around the hospital with the walker.

That must have been a surreal experience. Not to mention dangerous.

Don't worry that's quite common. Your body needs time. The surgical trauma and all the pain killers affect your body right now but in a few days or in about a week the dizziness (and nausea) will get much less.

Thank you all for your replies. I feel better right now but still can’t walk too much with clutches. When were you guys able to go to toilet and give yourself a bath?

I assume you did Stryde because you wrote somewhere that Dr. Paley is your doctor. I did externals but I was able to use the toilet with the help of a walker within a few days after surgery. (Before I had a catheter) The nurses can help you too.

Went number 2 for the first time after surgery 5 days post op, and showered a week later because I couldn't wet my incisions yet, I'd just wipe myself with bath wipes

It’s amazing how stretching helps. I was able to do a whole turn in the hospital using walkers.
I didn’t jump but made normal steps with the walker. This is day 4 post surgery.
