Coming from a 5'5 perspective, getting to 176 after two surgeries would be a dream come true. Objectively though, I think 183 cm is probably the best height. Tall without being overly tall and you can have just about any occupation you want without your height being an issue to others.

my opiniĆ³n is that this chart is just plain depressing. I always wanted to be really tall, and this chart made me really realize how far away that dream is. Hopefully other legitimate height gain technologies other than leg lengthening will soon emerge. But I'm definitely thankful that we at least have leg lengthening! Just the feeling that we can do something about the unsatisfactory stature that nature gave us feels great. But, like all things, safety, research, and moderation are key.

I am almost certain that people are shorter, on average, in Spain, though. Our minds just tend to focus only on the tall people because we have height dysphoria.

The average height of university students (native Spaniards, not immigrants) in Spain was recently measured at 177.33 cm in 2008 in all regions sampled.  Uni students tend a hair taller than the average, so the average of young men in Spain is probably 177 cm, which seems reasonable.  On average I think people know their height within 1-1.5 cm, but online tend to exaggerate more.  If you look at Caucasian Americans, they are about 1-1.5 cm taller than Caucasian Spaniards.

Anyway, I would say 7-8 cm above average whatever country you live in (roughly 85th percentile) is ideal more or less everywhere. There are a lot of studies demonstrating that being in the 80-85th percentile is the most attractive height to the largest number of women as well.

Did internal femurs using the PRECICE2 with Dr. Donghoon Lee in South Korea on December 27th, 2013, went from 5'7.5" to 5'9.6".  Will probably end up doing tibias in about a year with Dr. Birkholtz to get to 5'11".

I am at university in the uk and there is no way this describes the students here. I am 166cm and there is no way 1 in 20 white males is shorter than me. I've probably seen like 10 in the entire uni lol. I think the normal distribution is a lot compacter with the mean around 178/179 cm.
