Will I see a difference at all?
« on: July 29, 2017, 06:29:29 PM »

Hey so i'm 19 years old, and my starting height before surgery was 5'7.25. I finished about 2.5cm of my goal so far which is 6-6.3cm so i should be ending close to 5'9.75, maybe 5'11 with shoes and I wanted to know if I will notice a difference at all when the surgery is over? Some people i've met who have gotten the surgery already have told me that 6cm is nothing and stressed that I should consider doing more since i'm already here, but I'm not sure if I should go much further for my health and recovery. opinions?

Unrelated, but where are you from? Who is your physician? And how were you already able to get limb lengthening at 19 years old?

I don't want to say too much for privacy reasons but I'm from america, currently in south asia. Surgery, accommodation w/ flights costed about $18,000. I saved up this money working 2 jobs since I was 17.

Originally, I was thinking of saving a crazy amount of money and going for a top notch doctor. I'm 21 and just graduated from college but now I do not feel that it would be worthwhile to do this surgery unless I get it now in my youth. Do you think you made the right decision in going cheap and getting the surgery early? I know you haven't finished/recovered yet, but from your current impressions?

Nice. can you tell us what doctor you went to?
I think you will notice a difference with 6cm and if you're doing tibias then you can maybe do more but some people who have done tibias recommend not doing over 6cm. you can try to do more lengthening but make sure your body can handle it.

you can make 6-7 cm
it's already quite big

But I have the same fear, already when I imagine me with 7cm I would say I will be taller than most people
but I'm afraid 7cm is not big as I imagine it
But I will it is, 7 cm is quite big

yeah, I don't regret my choice. I've been wanting the surgery for 2 years and like you said, I would rather get the surgery in my youth where I can enjoy and hopefully recover faster. I'm also hoping at my age I could pass off the gained height as a late growth spurt and no one will question it.

Depends what you mean by difference. Will you become a pussy slayer? Hardly. No one becomes one after surgery if they werent before.

if you will not feel satisfied being an inch shorter than brad pit you should see a shrink

Becoming almost 5.10 from 5.7 is imo the best difference you could have with one LL, as 5.11 from 5.8.
So yes, I believe you'll see a good difference and if someone is more than 5.95 (evening height) I truly believe he has a good height and he doesn't need (another) LL.
If I was 1 inch taller than I am now, I don't think I would plan another LL.

So don't think about it too much, have a positive mind and I really believe that you'll be happy with your new height.
