Does LL recovery time affect past gym gains?
« on: May 10, 2018, 12:19:40 PM »

Hey,

So suppose a man became swole (well, manscaped himself and gained good muscle mass), would LL recovery times (where he cannot lift) drastically detriment his body shape? Would he lose his gains?

apologies for speaking in the third person, but I've been going gym for half a year and I'll probably do LL in about 2-3 years, I don't wanna lose 2-3 years worth of muscle building.

Thx guysss

If you're laid in bed for 6-9 months then of course it will. But shouldnt' take as long to get back. I think about professional wrestlers that got injured for 6-9 months such as Batista and John Cena yet seemed to come back bigger.

Inactivity will undoubtedly cause muscle atrophy. It's unrealistic to think otherwise.

Just as gains aren't permanent, muscle loss can be reversed during and after consolidation.

I was worried about the exact same thing as you before my surgery. You will definitely lose almost all of your quads and glutes. You can continue to work out your upper body while you are lengthening as long as you have access to equipment, but you will still lose some of your upper body strength. Check out my diary for more info.
