Hey all,

I plan on doing LL soon, through fitbone. However, I am scared that after the surgery I'll be looking awkward. Can you guys give me your ideas on whether I should do it, how many cm should I add, and whether I should do it on my femur and tibia. I am 170cm (5'7), my arm span is 168-170 cm, my tibia is near 33-33.5 cm, and my femur is near 46.5 cm (these are self measurements), my torso is 48-50 cm. Should I go through with this or not?

Thanks,

I'd say go ahead. In the end, the problem isn't proportions but getting the money, the time and the nuts to do it.

Cheers!

I'm fine with all that. I just don't want to seem weird, that's all.

Haha, that's pretty nice. :)
I would say your proportions would be fine anyway.
However, keep in mind that there isn't an "official number" when it comes to proportions, just look for natural examples of tall people and you'll notice many of them have your same torso and pretty long legs. But if you ask me, I think you'll look normal, anyway.

Just realized this is your first post. Welcome to the forums! Best of luck with the operation. Maybe you could give some feedback or write a diary once you've started your procedure? Our community still needs the knowledge of the brave adventurers who have already jumped into the boat.

Cheers. :)

If those are your measurements you should probably do tibia, but only trust the official X Ray measurements.

Your arm span is quite short. I probably wouldn't want to lengthen over 5 cm above my arm span.
