Thigh fat loss from tibial surgery
« on: February 18, 2016, 11:09:03 AM »

HEY everyone,
this question is for the ones who have had tibial surgery(mostly external),did u guys experience thinning of ur femurs ?? I mean did u guys lose thigh muscles or are the tibias are the only part that have thinned down? i am asking this because of the reason of me having stubby legs even at 5'7.I mean not totally stubby its just that there are too many muscles fro me at that place.

Yes, you'll loose few cms on your thighs during tibial lengthening. I had the surgery done a month ago, and I definitely observe some shrink in my thighs. I even asked my physiotherapist about it and he said it's true. The medical term for this is called "muscle atrophy".

What about during femur lengthening?

from what I've seen atrophy isn't too bad with femurs.

look at any two stage lengthening diaries with pics.
