I can't help but to notice that (almost) everybody here is stopping at 6 centimetres in the tibia and 6.7-7.0 centimetres in the femur.

Everybody (males and females) seem to be making it 6 centimetres, but so many don't seem to be making it 7-8 centimetres. I don't think this is a coincidence. What do you guys think? Is it just me?

I have also chosen my Doctor for Limb Lengthening in May of this year. I wont reveal who as of yet, but let's just say he is a really safe and caring Doctor. My current ratio is 1.29 and my tibia length is 37 centimetres and my femur length is 48 centimetres. I plan to do 5.5 centimetres in the tibia which means I will be lengthening 15% of my original bone length. And my ratio will be 1.12. Should I risk and do 6 centimetres and go a bit over 15% of the original bone length?

Imagine if I did 20% of my original bone length in my femurs. I would be able to get 9.6 centimetres out of it!

What do you all think? Sound like an okay plan?

Given what you've posted in the past about doctors and your budget my guess would be Sarin or another indian doc?

Just go for 2 inches and call it a day. It's good recovery and that's what we should all be aiming for.

5 cm should be the max really, I would argue that at least.

Jaymorgan, I wouldn't choose Sarin. He's famous for his dishonest practices.

The first 5cm weren't that bad. 5 to 6 wasn't terrible, but noticeably harder. 6 to 7 was pure hell for me. Sometimes I wonder if things would have been different if I'd had support over in Europe, if I'd stretched more towards the end. But the last PT sessions I had in Isokinetic London were very, very painful.

Some patients are able to get 7.5cm and up in one surgery, but I feel like they're kind of rare. I was only average for a  Dr. G patient (I believe his average is like 6.8cm, I got a little over 7cm), but going over 6cm, in my opinion, is where sh*t starts to get really hard and really painful. I had a very scary pain in my left leg towards that end that took 6 months after clicking to go away.

I'm looking for 7cm on tibias and 8cm on femurs. Not sure if it will be better to go with 6.5/8.5. Just to shorten the tibial lengthening process.

You have a good body Razor. By doing LL you can kiss it goodbye for about 3 years, maybe forever. Mock ups are on thing, actually recovering and getting back in shape to look like that is another ...

Catagni for tibia, Paley for femurs and someone who is known for arms, and he will be fine

ThatDude950, you are correct that I may lose a lot of muscle mass. But what I lose in physical strength .. I gain in mental strength. Clothes can cover the body ..nothing can cover the mind. Not to mention, with the correct training plan .. i'll be back in shape within a year post LL(ish).

TIBIKE, I would most likely go to Guichet for femurs but it's a dream that I will reach ;) .. to 6 foot and beyond ! (well 184)
