Use of Drugs to Facilitate Healing
« on: April 14, 2016, 09:33:22 PM »

Hello fellow manlets,

Recovery is a huge problem in LL. What if we were to use off-label drugs to facilitate healing? Studies have shown that human growth hormone, and IGF-1 has been promising in enhancing the healing of bone and nerves with minor to no side effects. Along with this, research peptides such as BPC-157 and TB-500 have shown to be highly effective for increased healing. These combined with proper nutrition and physical therapy may increase recovery after LL.

I smoked weed while lengthening to increase happiness, lower stress, and accelerate bone healing. Weed also fixed problems with my parents that I was unable to solve when I was sober.

LL captain did you tell your parents you were going to do CLL.
When I go, I will makes sure I take plenty of supplements, vit D, calcium, magnesium etc as well as protein.  I may look into some kind of light weight leg press to use as well

I did the standard regimen of Calcium + D, multivitamins and protein shakes. I also ate cannabis chocolates almost every night and have been using my Volcano vaporizer. Very rarely did I smoke a joint.

There's little to no evidence showing that THC or CBD can help bone healing except a few shoddy articles, but I had very good bone growth on one femur and noticeably slower on the other. I can argue that consuming cannabis indirectly accelerates my bone growth from inducing greater sleep and appetite.

Cheers  ;D ;D

I'm all for weed and alcohol(not excessive of course) even if it slows down the healing a little.

Short-term side effect of IGF-1 is an abnormally low level of blood sugar.
Prolonged use of IGF-1 will cause abnormal hands, feet and face growth.

Like insulin, IGF-1 and and HGH will obviously affect your blood sugar levels. This is relatively low risk as long as you don't overdose. Again, abnormal growth takes YEARS of ABUSE with systematic injections. The key word is abuse, as in using dosages that are way past the human production limit. Instead of acting like an expert when all you did was google you should take notes instead. Studies have shown that HGH reduces recovery time of bone fractures by up to 26%. I present you manlets free information on a way to increase your recovery odds but nobody seems to care. Not surprising when all you manlets do is lament on your height without doing anything else to compensate for it.

I hope you will fall down the stairs and break your legs. Have a nice day :)

Juicer those are actually pretty cool findings. I have never heard of any doctor ever using it or patient but it would be awesome to actually see evidence of increased recovery. We have the section of the forum where you can ask doctors. Ask the docs and see if you can get any solid answers.

Great for getting this thread started juiceer.

But, we already know that the best drug available for LL is Forteo/Forsteo. It stimulates bone growth so much it causes bone cancer in mice, and potentially in humans who undergo a lengthy treatment.

The problem with teriparatide is it's a systematic drug mainly for decreasing the risk of osteoporosis in general. There are pretty much no actual scientific studies done on fracture healing. Along with that, it also comes with its serving of side effects.

IGF-1 is effective when injected locally, meaning there's no need for systematic dosages. Thymosine beta 4 is a healing peptide with no adverse side effects and has been shown in rats to increase the healing of fractures. There's no reason to write off new potential treatments just because there is an approved drug in the market. It's even possible for synergy.

All I know is if I was gonna get a LL surgery, I wouldn't write off potential treatments that aren't yet in the eyes of the public, because recovery is paramount.

HGH supplementation while the growth plates are still open is known to increase adult height, and there are peptides that simulate your body to release large amounts of GH for much cheaper. What would have happened to the potential candidates who were quick to ignore the open clinical trials?
