Why famous people dont get this surgery?
« on: December 05, 2015, 08:43:08 PM »

So im wondering this. there are many celebrities  that really short.I mean, money wouldnt be an issue for them of course which means they could do this with most qualified doctors, physical therapists etc.. Well im not saying money can solve everything, i mean yes there could be really dangerous complications but still most of the cases of LL surgeries dont include really really high risks. So it is more considerable for really short famous people.Well its possible that maybe some of them are not uncomfortable with their short height (like tom cruise=170,taylor lautner=173,Mark whalberg also 173 etc.. And still some of them wear lifts so??) yes its possible for 5'7 or above. But below 5'7 is really short (of course im talking about males here these are great heights for females, you can think about really short females too)like male celebrities below 5'7 -Daniel Radcliffe,Bruno Mars,Elijah wood and more..- should be a problem if you consider they are ''famous''.And its a bad height for a male.So maybe they dont want it because it could harm their popularity or why they dont get this surgery ?

Sorry if i did any grammar mistakes since its not my mother language. thanks for reading !

This has been discussed before. The general point is that it'd be pretty obvious that they underwent this cosmetic procedure. As a result they'd be easily ridiculed for it because of how extreme it is.

Another reason is that they are probably comfortable with their lives and bodies already so they wouldn't care at all; even though as I will continue to say this is all a psychologically issue which maybe they don't have and if they did it was without a doubt imposed on them by society.

If a celebrity were to have this surgery it would be without a doubt ideal to do it before "they make it big" AND their doctor never discloses this information.

And height isn't everything mate.

Some do. You just don't hear about it because 1) they don't talk about it and 2) their doctors aren't allowed to name names.

It's the same with the ones who got plastic surgery. They never admit that they did it.

And the reason why they don't get it is because they don't care about their height as much as we do. They get along just fine in life without it. They can get everything that they want and nothing is out of reach for them, so why do they care? If they're an actor in the public eye, it'd be very very hard to get away with it. You can't just disappear for 6 months without people noticing. And after you're taller, it can be obvious that you did it, because your walking will be weird for a while and you have scars. Also losing 6+ months of work can mean losing millions of dollars for a famous actor.

Having said that, some very rich people do get LL. There was some prince from the middle east who got it with Dr. Paley.

That reminds me, without giving their identities away obviously, what sort of people do you see/heard from Paley that got LL. I can pretty much see that Paley patients are fairly wealthy and what not, but further elaboration either here or on your diary would be nice.

Almost every patient I met who was doing CLL either was wealthy or had parents who were wealthy. The latter was far more common than the former. They came from all over the world and are the upper class in that country. As for the kids who were fixing their discrepancy, they come different backgrounds, because a lot of the times, insurance is paying for it.

I would be shocked if many relatively, or very famous people hadn't done this. Remember not everyone does 3 inches either so it wouldn't be jarringly obvious per se.

However- Many people get LL either 1. Because of lack of success dating. 2. Not being taken seriously because of extremely short stature 3. Lack of presence in the business world

Most famous people have little problem with dating due to status and wealth. Assuming we are talking about males, many actors are around 5 8 +, and unless their fame comes from being a dwarf, aren't a height that would be embarrassing. And of course most famous people aren't hurting for money so thats not a problem.

Lol. I read somewhere that the reason his career went slow around 2013-2014 was he did LL. Can't confirm though. I mean, it is very possible. He seemed to be height conscious as well with his 5'9 claims and his massive bieber boots--although he mostly wears vans now. I don't believe it though.

Edit:

He actually retired in 2013. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/earshot/justin-bieber-announces-retirement-twitter-667683

Here are his proportions in 2013 and 2015:

2013: - notice the boots/sneakers.

With Selena...

2015:

Again with Selena...

P.S. I'm not trying to discredit him. His height doesn't make him. He's still Bieber regardless and very talented.

actually they do but we do not hear about them because they try to maintain privacy and advise their doctor not to disclose such information to the public and I deeply understand that their doctors know about their concerns. That is why they keep it private and confidential. Again, there are some short actors like Tom Cruise who never tried this surgery, another example Eminem. They are famous and I think they don't need those surgeries.
