Reasons to --and NOT to--get LL
« on: July 24, 2015, 07:01:06 PM »

This is what I gather from talking on here and thinking about it

Reasons TO get LL:

Severe dissatisfaction with height
Statistically short stature
Having experienced blatant heightism, with true consequences
Feeling like height is the only thing stopping the world from seeing you the way you see your self

Reasons NOT to get LL:

Wanting to become popular with sloots and hynas (though LL still would help with this, it shouldnt be your main motivation)
Knowing an uncle/brother/friend/co-worker/pet giraffe that is taller than you
Wanting to become better at basketball (true story!)
The fact that you have mixed feelings about LL and want to just go ahead and do it because youre afraid you'll regret not doing it

Anyone got something to add?

Decent list. I actually though about a post like this for a while.

Here's my take:

Arguements for CLL (in order of importance):

1. May alleviate a mental obsession with one's perceived inadequate stature
2. For those under average height, it can bring them closer to, or in some cases above average.
3. May improve overall physical appearance, especially when wearing clothes
4. Possibly better luck with women and a more expansive dating pool
5. More self confidence

Arguments against (in order of importance):

1. Significant risk of some degree of life long pain and/or adverse biomechanical changes
2. Some lost athletic ability
3. Time to recover
4. Unnatural body proportions may negatively affect physical appearance
5. Benefit of additional height is mostly mental, and not tangible
6. Financial cost of spending a significant amount of money when you are young, which in turn can't be invested towards your future/retirement
7. Scarring
8. Will have to explain it at some point to certain people, which may cause embarrassment

Option 1: Inversion and Glucosamine to 177+CM :)
Option 2: CLL to 180 CM :)

benefit of additional height is not mainly mental... it's real

the risk of life long pain is minimal to none

body proportions do not matter, unless you lengthen 20 cm

One argument for CLL you may have missed:
Higher income due to an increased height by a quit substantial amount. I've read that some members here are interested in a career in the world of finances, in this case LL is an even larger boost to your income.
I don't know the exact numbers but the guys in leading positions are taller on average. CLL may prevent you from being dwarfed everyday on your workplace.
