Author Topic: How important is bone density or skeletal structure for limb lengthening?  (Read 1283 times)

Is there any indication that those with denser bones or wider frames are better equipped to deal with limb lengthening? Or that those who have thinner bones have an easier time dealing with the lengthening?

Edit: Topic title meant to say bone density.

If your bones have a higher density, I believe this translates into less risk for fracturing throughout the LL process. I know I had to take a bone density test before I had my LL. Dr. G said my density was slightly below average for my age (probably due to being a former smoker), but that my risk of fracture was still very low all things considered.

Is very important. For internals and LON you need your bone canals to be wide enought
