LWM, I think you have to come to terms that you will always be on the short side, even with CLL.
Once you accept that fact, then you can put everything into perspective (height does not = life. Admittedly, for a while I thought it did, but not anymore).
All people have to accept difficult realizations, that's just how it is.
Look at what you can do to improve yourself and your life, not what you can't (open growth plates); not just in terms of increasing your height through CLL, but also by working on other aspects of your life like fitness, friends, and not spending too much time feeling sorry for yourself.
I know my last comment sounded harsh, but the fact is that people like people who don't sit there feeling sorry about themselves all the time (another thing I've slowly realized)
I can't promise you, but I have a hunch that a short guy who takes care of body and mind (lifting weights, eating healthy, doing cardio, meditating, sleeping well), works on his social skills, and tries to excel in other aspects of life like school and work, will be happier than a 6' 1" dude who's a bum and does nothing with his life. Be the achiever and be positive my friend.
