I mean.. We are not tall (except the 196+ dude), so that's already one disadvantage.
Now, if you do LL, you suffer twin disadvantages : you waste time and money. you even lose some health probably. Though you gain the height and its associated advantages (think of it as, back to square one)
So, would it not be in the best interests of a LL patient to maximise the time whilst he is resting? (ie, working from home, or studying, learning new skills, etc)?
If you waste so much time idling, wont it be a greater pity? Ie, you lose more time, and you lose money and health, in return for a small gain in height and its associated benefits.

most people run around constantly trying to achieve. they never really live.

you have your whole life ahead of you, you even have like 60-80 years to work 9-5 hours every day for the rest of your miserable life,

people are addicted to thinking that if they are not doing what society tells them to do they are wasting their time.

live life, don't fall for the trap in life.

its like people who are so freaked out about missing 1 school year. your entire life earning money is ahead of you and you freak out about 1 year, because somehow that will make you a failure as a person if you "waste" a year. nothing is wasted, its just the person is addicted to this fast paced lifestyle that he has been sold on. people in the same breath are sold onto materialism and commercialism.

people think that unless they are constantly moving they are achieving nothing. sometimes by doing nothing you learn things you cant learn when your moving.

thanks bro, exactly what I thought u would say.. makes me feel less guilty.. all this time "wasted". would it be a waste if you are recuperating and resting and having a good time watching movies?

I am indeed enjoying my time. I am slacking a lot (I only read a few pages of basketball and texts everyday)..... I kinda feel bad about it........

That is still better than when I was hopped up on Tramadol and Lyrica, sleeping most of the day :P

dude, I totally agree with you. I have been taking gap semesters. I think by the time I finish medical school I will be a ripe old age of 28  ;D  but I guess you get taken more seriously when you look older.

thing is, I've always done things at my own time and target in life. Because I look pretty young for my age (I get told I look 19-20) when I am in my mid-twenties. So I think cellularly and all, I have more time...But yes I feel the aging, and less time to complete my objectives: career, sports, etc

:) gap semesters are nice. its even better idea if you just cut the subjects load in half. that way life will be awesome.

I know right.. haha.. taking a lower subject/module load is good... I have had so much sex last semester before my LL that I don't really crave sex now... (just a little..)

after my LL I gotta speed up though...! my parents are always complaining about me being slow.

But I don't get it.... why waste your youth chasing academic excellence?? I mean, I do well in school, but I would rather balance basketball, sex, and school.....

I think it's kind of hard to be a world scholar working 3 jobs and 'learning new skills' while you're in the middle of russia getting your legs cleaved apart by metal frames as your bedridden body is desperately growing pounds of bone, connective tissue, and so on. Which would explain why you spend so much time on this forum giving us all your wonderful insights.

On wheelchair mostly this week, due to complications. In a few days I will walk again ;) Nah its not painful nor desperate. I am not even on paracetamol or any painkiller now. My bones are long enough to handle perfectly. I am in Singapore and not Russia. I only have one job :)
