I am about to get it done in Germany with Dr. Schmidt and Dr. Salameh  (very professional doctors and know what they are doing).

However, I have Aspergers Syndrome ( a form of autism) and A.D.H.D. (hyperactive disorder). Me being in that much pain might cause some very big psychological problems. If an ant bites me on the arm, i freak out much more than the average person. So if a normal person is saying this surgery is painful, times that by 50 for me.

Can someone describe the pain? Dr Salameh has agreed to give me pain medication and heavy drugs if need be, but I just don't want to have mental breakdowns.

But I want this surgery so bad, I would do anything to get it over and done with!

Thanks.

psychological evaluation..? I'm not sure about that, like those guys usually take a look in your file whether you're on anti depression drug or not  .. and they'll  free you for the surgery if you wasn't..

hey morgan do this test.  if you are light activity kinda of person, then run for about five hours in row for one day.. the muscles ache you gonna have afterword will be quite similar to LL

I have Aspergers, too. I was formally diagnosed in 3rd grade. If anything, Aspergers should make the experience far easier for one reason: obsession. Since we dudes with Aspergers can get completely obsessed with what we want or are interested in for months or years at a time, an obsession with getting taller should keep our willpowers stronger through the ll process.

Saving up for it has taken a long time and both my parents and all my family and friends think it is the stupidiest thing ever. My dad's exact words were "stupid, stupid, stupid, getting your bones cut in half for a few inches, stupid, stupid, stupid, STUPID!" Lol

Who cares what they think? My parents say the same thing. What are you doing for a job?

I work 2 jobs. In a dvd/entertainment store and in a cafe. Have a savings of 30,000. Might need to get a bank loan so i can get a bit more! Either way, i want to get it done, but i just fear complications and pain etc. Have you got it done yet?

My parents still call me stupid stupid stupid lol  that's the nice things they say about me,lol

If pain is a real scary issue for you then I would avoid leg lengthening.  I'm all for pushing through life and getting what you want but I'm not sure the surgeons/staff will be able to offer you the time and services you may need.  Best bet is to be totally honest with he surgeon and keep knocking on doors until you meet a surgeon who is willing to meet your needs fully or else the ll experience can be the biggest nightmare of your life.   Medication interactions could be a issue aswell couldn't it??? Best of luck to you and I hope you get what you want. God bless
