Has anyone here got any knowledge regarding the Precise 3? I imagine it would be full weight bearing as that would we the main difference between it and the Precise 2.

Not idea, but if Paley can get it out in the next two years, I'll probably be going to him for ll.

Considering most competent doctors dont advice doing 9-10cms, I dont think it will increase in lengthening limits the way it did from Precice to Precice 2.
So yeah Im guessing weight bearing will be the new improvement, hopefully anyway

Paley told me it will be about 3(or was it four?) times stronger in person. The point of it is weight bearing more than lengthening I believe.

It will be nice to have a full weight bearing nail without the ratcheting mechanism. If PRECICE 3 does allow full weight bearing with the same non-ratcheting mechanism then I see the second generation albizzia and bliskunov under serious threat.

Full weight bearing will be nice wheelchairs, walkers, and crutches for 4-5 months gets very old.  Trust me I've been doing it for almost 3 months - very old!!!!

I could never use anything other than a weight bearing nail. I would die if I had to be in a wheelchair for 4-5 months.

That's the main reason I'm doing it with Guichet. I just couldn't mentally deal with being in a wheelchair for cosmetic reasons. I just couldn't.

That said, Guichet is fantastic and I like him for many reasons besides this.

You are not wheelchair bound. Even if you are above weight bearing weight you can just use a walker. If you are below you can just use crutches.

The mental part really isn't as bad as you'd think. It didn't really bother me much at all. That being said the perks of being able to weight bear fully would definitely be welcome!
