Hi..
lengthening in 1 weeks' time..
Would it be better to get a budget hotel with room service, or would a hostel (guesthouse.. basically a dormitory room) be better?
I will be in hospital for one week.
After that, its my own accomodation..
I don't expect (I hear) that I would be able to walk properly even on crutches... after one week.
Thus I dont think I can cook or do anything fruitful..
So would a hotel be a better option?
If I stay in a guesthouse (dormitory room), it might be really bad to ask people to do things for you...
Oh and yes, I will be in Moscow

Don't stay at a hostel, go for a hotel. But it will be still really really hard if you try to do this all alone...

I lengthened in India, but from my experience I think staying in a hotel is the best thing to do if you don't have a family member you can stay with. In a good hotel you will have room cleaning taken care of, nice menu variety, laundry service, all basic amenities, and staff always there to help you because they want that good review later. In a hostel you've got to take care of more things on your own and you won't want any added annoyances while you're in frames. The CLL process is difficult enough as it is.

Imo, getting a hotel room to stay in during the whole lengthening process was better than finding a flat or apartment and hiring a caretaker. It's worth spending the extra money.

thanks! did you guys do at a hotel, alone?

yes i think of finding a decent hotel with room service.

for a not-too-bad hotel, do you think it is OK for you to ask them to deliver breakfast for you?they have complimentary breakfast.

Hostel.... in Europe? Seriously? I wouldn't even stay at a Russian hostel on holiday let alone LL

You'll have two broken legs, stay at a hostel or the clinic/hospital if you can. Screw hostels, thats madness
I've stayed at hostels before when on cheap holidays by myself or with friends and all I got to say is that the hostels in Europe are so bad, very unhygienic and the people cant be trusted. I speak from my own experience, other people may  have much more positive experiences

The only hostels I'd be staying at while LL would be Japanese hostels, much cleaner and most importantly the people are so kind, considerate and honest, which is the complete opposite of most European people. Sorry dont mean to offend. Sadly theres no LL in Japan as I would like to visit again  :'(

I agree with Kilo, definitely a hotel with room service in my opinion

since when Russia is in Europe?

Do you prefer Eurasia? Couldnt care less what Wikipedia or the rest of the world consider Russia as, they are European to me.
If you think they're Asians then you have some loose screws...

Geographically its both Asia and Europe, politically and culturally its Europe.
Majority of Russia is in Asia but its capital is in Europe, go figure...

Russia really should just be given continental status already in my opinion, its clearly big enough.
Would ease the confusions as to whether what Russia really is, depending on who or where you ask, you still wont get a definitive answer
