Why dont you say your diet is compared to people of Detroit or California. Becuase there are plenty of poverty stricket places. But it seems like you cant change stupid. Continue to dwell in your ignorance. It seems like its a place you like the most.

Why would you generalize the poor people of Detroit or California? Don't you think its ignorant to just label an entire state/city of people like that? Why wouldn't you call the poverty stricken people in these places just the less fortunate? Maybe they've lost their homes at some point maybe they were even thrown out because of mental illness? how can you be so short sighted and cruel to these people? What's wrong with you, since when has generalizing entire groups of people become a virtue? Stop being so arrogant and talking down to the lesser off people in these places. Stop being so prideful, arrogant and narcissistic you disgusting human being. This isn't a personal attack at you its just a critique. I guess you can't fix stupid, you can continue to dwell in your ignorance.

Because people like you want to say how poor african or middle eastern countries are. but fail to realize that poverty exists everywhere. And there are people in Canada and United States who are barely scraping by. such as Detroit, and places like California.

Nice strawman, I never said that poverty doesn't exist in the rest of the world this is why I used the term 3rd world instead of rural Russia or places in the middle east or even impoverished states in Africa I only mentioned these places because you told me to be more specific. California has the highest GDP in all of America, I would never use such a stupid example when referencing poor nutrition because of a countries poor economic status. You're a Canadian so I don't expect you to know this, hell, I don't expect most Americans to know this.

Are you saying Canada is on the same level as Africa or even middle eastern countries when it comes to poverty?

First of all Africa is a continent not a country. Secondly there are countries in Africa that are more technologically advanced and economically developed than Canada. There are also countries in the middle east that are more developed than Canada. For instance Dubai, And before this whole catastrophe , countries like Libya, Iran, and Iraq were once very prominent successful nations. Saudi Arabia which is in the middle east is a very successful country.

Also why do we need to call them 1st 2nd or 3 world. Why not just call them by the name of the country.? We dont need to say those labels and place some kind of label on whole countries.

Are you actually informed of any of these places? Please tell me which country in Africa is more technologically advanced than Canada. What an insane statement. I've visited almost all of east Africa and South as well, I'm very interested in knowing the answer to this.

Dubai is not more developed than Canada. 15-20 years of ongoing slavery, shiny architecture with no structure or safety (my apartment building burned down when I lived there), and some of the most preposterous nonsensical health care does not mean developed. Unless of course you have another definition for more developed... most palm trees? Most ferraris? Most malls?

I've never been to Libya, but I live in Azerbaijan, next to Iran. Again, all the money in the world, they cannot figure out the simplest ways to keep Tehran out of being an entire cloud of smog and pollution and poverty that the Rial plummets just about daily. I have friends who are just about at the end of their rope because living there they'll basically will be dead or close to it within the next year or 2, with no savings. Please tell me how this is some developed paradise.

I am not even going to contest you on Iraq and Saudi. I have worked in Erbil, Baghdad, Basra, and Riyadh. Unless I missed something in one of these awful places, I think you need to research things before you blurt out such ignorance. For starters, you can't drink the water in any of these places, I would send you some videos of brown tap water, if you'd be interested. In zero definable ways are any of the places you've listed more developed than an Edmonton or Saskatoon or Thunder Bay. Many Canadians, even hovering the poverty line will never know the suffering that goes on in such places. I'm not sure where you're getting your information.

I am very glad that you have some knowledge on the how big of a continent of africa and how rich it is and was in natural resources. The notion that Africa is underedeveloped and backwards is false. africa has always been rich with resources. But the problem is its wealth has been redistributed to outside invaders.
Thank you.  I do think the term 3rd world is dated and is often used incorrectly with negative connotations to imply a failed state or an inferior country of poor economic status whereas its original meaning as given below quoted from Wikipedia is quite different.  This is probably because first world and third world sound a lot like first class and third class which have a very specific meaning.

In the decade following the fall of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War in 1991, the term Third World was used interchangeably with developing countries, but the concept has become outdated as it no longer represents the current political or economic state of the world. The three-world model arose during the Cold War to define countries aligned with NATO (the First World), the Communist Bloc (the Second World, although this term was less used), or neither (the Third World). Strictly speaking, "Third World" was a political, rather than an economic, grouping.

Since about the 2000s the term Third World has been used less and less. It is being replaced with terms such as developing countries, least developed countries or the Global South.

Im also a person of color in Canada. And you act like Canada doesnt have any fking problems? A nation that is build on racism. where the indigenous population live in reservations with no running water system. A nation that has a housing crisis in Toronto Ontario. A nation that there is so much income inequality that alot of provinces wanted to implment a universial income for its marginalized society. The truth is EVERY NATION has its good And bad. I also have travelled outside of Canada and in places in Africa.  I have been to Ghana, south Africa, and Morrocco.

I also agree. The funny thing is there is income inequality everywhere in the world. Im in Canada. And although on the surface it looks like there isnt any income inequality there is. there is definitly income inequality in Canada if you are an indigenous person, a person with mental health issue or addiction, an unattractive person, or a short person.  There is a housing crisis in Toronto. Ontario.  And also in places like Detroit.is a failed state as well. and also California. Califronia has a lot of problems. and like you said the classification of 1,2 and 3 does have negative connotation and gives people a false sense of superiority.
