My proportions, 167cm + 5-10cm? (PIC)
« on: October 26, 2015, 06:04:21 AM »

Will it look proportional with extra 10 cm femur/tibia?

Post more pictures for better feedback, but seems like you could do 10CM on femurs and still look proportionate. 10CM on tibs would be a disaster, though.

What about 5cm on femur and 5cm on tibia?

Better looking but harder and longer to accomplish.

So you think just lengthen just choose one between femur and tibia is better? I've read that lengthening tibia is far safer, Would 5cm-7cm on tibia be good?

Your tibias lengthened would look awful. Either do both, or just femurs.

You think I have long tibias?

I've heard that lengthening tibias is much safer and less risk of complications than lengthening femurs.

And doing both will be too extreme, more dangerous, more costly and longer time for recovery. Don't you think?

Your legs look quite long honestly, what's your inseam?

Measure like this:

Also be careful about your arm length and shoulder width, neither looks very long.

Definitely do both. And with both you'd be able to go over 8cm overall which is another plus.

But then the athletic mobility get more fked up.

Besides it takes more money and time.

I'd argue you'd get more fked up doing 8cm on one segment than 4.5cm on both segments at 5'4" starting height

However as far as the money goes, I understand completely.

Possibly, have to look into it again. If both segments I think is better 6cm : 4cm or 7cm : 5cm as femurs are naturally longer than tibias.

Btw, 167cm is 5'6".

this will depend on the proportion of your femur and tibia, in my case I have (femur 42cm and tibia 42cm) so I have femur 50% and tibia50%
anatomically the femur can reach 59% and tibia 41%, in my case could stretch 8cm would be (femur 50cm and tibia 42cm) so I would have a femur 54% and tibia46% and still be within normality.
then take measurements of the femur and tibia and see the relationship between them, this will give you an idea of how much and what you can do,
for people who already have larger femurs than the tibia the ideal was to stretch a little in each one.

You have the same height and goal as me.
167cm +7cm

I also don't know which segment to do yet.

Bruce Wayne, you really haven't got a clue pal.  Even the mod, Penguin advises you to do femurs.  And no tibias is not safer and less complicated. It's arguably the reverse!  If you have the money and patience, spread the gains, otherwise just do your femurs.

I suspect you measure it wrongly. It's extremely unlikely that you're born with tibias as long as femurs.

No, you haven't got a clue. Even if I do femur, still wouldn't go to Jamal.

My friend, this is normal.
there is no pattern for human characteristics, there are many variations, I have femur 42cm and 42cm tibia, I already talked to doctors about the subject he spoke son, and even there are many famous people so even the great Arnold schwarzenegger has relation of tibia and femur well nearby.
this ratio may be femur 50% and tibia 50% up to Femur 56% and tibia 44% this is the human standard. this is known even in applied biomechanics, there are variations of squat, deadlift etc ... each one adapted to the characteristic of the anatomy

reaching the 15cm theoretically is possible if you separate in 7.5cm + 7.5cm in each follow.
but that will depend on your muscles and tendons because 15cm is a very high size. 5'3 to 5'10.
Do you have good flexibility? Do hard stretches daily? if you do not have good flexibility these days you will not reach the desired size.
to help you need to start a daily stretching routine, to extend your elongation capacity, and I'm not talking about basic stretches, it's maximum stretches even have a goal to reach your maximum, try doing yoda hahah or things like that.
this will ensure that you get to reach the 7.5cm in femur and tibia when doing the surgery.
otherwise the tendons will reach the maximum at 4cm and you will have to stop, because when you pass the 4-5cm it is difficult to bend the knee, the achilles tendon is super extended.
