Who here is considering LL in the near future?
« on: July 10, 2018, 11:27:57 AM »

Folks, I just wanna get some idea of how many people here are serious about LL and in a position to go ahead with surgery in the near future, i.e next 12 months. And if so, what factors determine where you get the surgery done etc.   Obviously price is a big factor, but other than that?
Any info would be appreciated, thanks

Pretty much the ones mentioned in my thread: http://www.limblengtheningforum.com/index.php?topic=9008.0

Plus Professor Catagni, maybe.

Bruce Wayne

The most safe method and segment to lengthen is internal femurs . That has been said by doctors like Paley.
Lowest time for recovery / greater amount of possible lengthening.

I would do it right now if I had the money for it...
I got long tibias so femur would be ideal for 7cm, however, for femur internal is almost mandatory, and I don't even have the money for external tibias... So yeah lol

Will probably be able to pay for it in the next few years.

I’ve 40 cm femurs and tibia so I’d do 5 cm per segment not sure what that would make the percentage thing everyone mentions here isn’t it something like never go over 47% so any advice on this would be appreciated

I'm 5'2 male. I'll probably do it next year. Trying to read all this information available. Have anyone do LL together at the same doctor? Like book same rooms and help each other out with post treatment, etc.
