There are many factors to take into account. After lengthening and during consolidation you will be allowed to bear a percentage of your body weight. How much that is will depend on consolidation progress (and you should stick to what your doctor advises). I have never used leg drive when bench pressing and I can't say I felt like I ever needed to.

If you are going to bench press, you have far more pressing issues (if you pardon the pun), like you gotta think about whether you can lift up the plates... The answer is probably not for the first two months, as you will be using either a walker or crutches. Of course, you could have somebody load and unload the bar for you. But yeah, leg drive will be the least of your problems.
