What are you guys and gals saying to the people around you?
« on: November 12, 2024, 06:46:46 PM »

This is meant to be a question to all the people who do this procedure "secretly". I think that is only possible in beginning - but once you start meeting your friends again they will for sure notice - i was just playing those theoretic situations through in my head and it is just awkward, no matter how i twist the story in my head hahaha.
Does anybody have some real life expirience / stories, they wanna share with us?

I think honesty is the best policy here; I mean how does a fully grown person cover up 3 to 5 inches of extra height?

When I first started wearing shoe lifts (just for fun as I'm already 6'2) people noticed the difference and it was only an extra inch. I got away with it by telling them that I finally got my posture fixed and this is how big I look standing up straight.

No chance you'll pull that excuse off at 2.5 + inches unless people know you to walk like a hunch back.

how about to tell them that you did limb lengthening surgery?
if you are worrying what other people will think or say about you then don't do it

I told my close friends and family what I was doing. My family was supportive, but, obviously, also uneasy at the extremeness of the procedure. There's really no way to hide a 3 inch growth spurt in your 30's XD

That’s a lie, as I did 8cm and people did not ask about it. I disappeared for like 6 months ish.
Only people who noticed/asked were a couple around my starting. It will mainly be a Mandela effect to those who are not close friends or family, if next time you see them you are walking normally. To say people noticed 1’ is bs, that’s the difference in a pair of shoes you wear

If considering external femurs please change your mind

Thanks for your replies, everyone. Very interesting input!

I also expect a certain threshold where simply everybody would realize that something changed, but if you stay in a lower range of lengthening it might just be obvious to people that are/were once very close to you.

Yes I also agree about the honesty part - if i would do it i would openly communicate it, at least to those who bring the topic up.

Anyways, would be nice to get even more input from people who already experienced it, cheers :)
