Pre-OP 179 - 181 to Post OP 191 Proportions
« on: November 05, 2024, 01:46:49 AM »

I have a 6'4 wingspan so thats my limit of lengthening 190 - 193

Someone will probably tell me ohh I'm already at a good height yeah idc buddy i want to be 6'3

181 is my morning height
179 my night height

I have a fairly long torso and short tibias ideally i want most of my lengthening going to my tibias like 7cms to tibias and 3 to femurs.

But i've heard lengthening tibias is rather dangerous which is extremely unfortunate.

Bad idea. If you want to make 10 cm, you'd better make 4.5-5.0 cm for tibia and 5.0-5.5 cm for femur. 5 cm on Tibia is the safety limit.

It is not that tibias are more dangerous (life treating), they heal more slowly, and complications begin at less cm´s of lengthening vs femur, so they are complex, but a good doctor can do it

you mention your proportions, you know your sitting height and your inseam/height ratio  ? usually .45 to .46 is the average

Tibias is just "harder" than femurs. Higher risk of complications, less blood flow to those muscles than the ones on the thighs, takes longer to heal, more visible scarring, etc.
