Dr Paley has made a great deal of breakthroughs in the Limb Lengthening community. However, just because he is a legendary figure doesn’t mean that there shouldn’t be any criticism.
On the 5th of March, Dr Paley announced that Globus Medical was having supplier issues which led to pulling back the nails from the market temporarily. You can find the post here:

Surely if it was indeed a supply issue they wouldn’t have to pull the nails for 3 weeks right after launching them with so much hype?
Dr Dror Paley has direct ties to the PRECISE MAX nails as he worked on its development. If complications arose it could look back for him. There is a conflict of interest between his patients and his financial incentives for concealing the truth regarding issues for the PRECISE MAX nails.
It is extremely disappointing that such a surgeon would decide to downright seemingly lie and ruin his reputation rather than simply say nothing if he didn’t want to be truthful.
Dr Assayag today has taken a jab at Dr Paley today in his instagram video with the description “Hint: it’s not because the implants were custom made
”
Dr Assayag has made an announcement which makes much more sense. Nuvasive released an Alpha batch and once it identified issues it took the Precise Max nail out of the market until it can fix the issues with the nail.
Essentially, Dr Paley has stated that it was a supply issue as nails are custom (which wouldn’t make sense, there are only 3-4 sizes as per the FDA clinical trials report, and I personally find it dubious that a commercial nail would take this approach. One PMax patient at the Paley Institute (goldas) who had his implant on the first day has stated that his nail was actually not custom.
This leads to the conclusion that Dr Paley has chosen his financial incentives and contracts with Nuvasive over informing the patients of the truth. This nail has some issues and is not yet 100% safe which is why Nuvasive pulled it off. Going forward we should analyse Dr Paley’s comments critically as it appears that he prioritises profit by hiding issues over transparency. If he is ok with hiding this, is it possible that he has hidden patient complications or not talked about cases which didn’t go as well? Something to think about.
A former patient called Julian Prégent (also known as the extremely toxic d Mod JP in a LL server) has commented “That’s cap” in Dr Paley’s post and they deleted his comment. He has since posted this comment again. Why is the Paley Institute in the USA trying to shut down debate regarding Dr Paley lying? Seems extremely suspicious.
