I wake up from sleep (either from nap or night time sleeping), my thighs feel harder, stiffer, more sore, knees hurt, harder to move my legs. I think to myself 'dmnit need to do clicks in a few hours, I gotta get loose and soft and flexible'
I'm at 3cm for gnail right now
I am trying to figure out a good strategy in the mornings to deal with the above
Current plan:
0. Pain killer + meds, maybe light massage gun to wake them up if the thighs feel really asleep
1. Drink water
2. Light cycling for like 20 seconds
3. Alternate quad/hamstring/hip flexor stretches
4. Do misc daily tasks (brush teeth, refill water, organize room, etc)
4.5 If the knee pain doesn't go away, I'll bring out the ice packs, not sure that is a great idea in the morning since I need to use the legs later
5. hope for the best that the thighs eventually loosen/soften up a bit before its time to do clicks
Trying to think if there is anything else I can do. It would be ideal if I can do clicks earlier in the day, I hate doing them at 11 am right before PT ("why are you so tight, did you do the stretches?" "I just did the clicks, just did a little stretching after the clicks before I came to PT")
What have you tried in the response to morning thigh tightness and how have things gone?
