Precice max nail is full weight?
« on: December 25, 2023, 03:39:50 PM »

I already saw the interview of paley and cyber4life, but Im kind of confused, after a new nail process, the FDA said is only 50lbs (kind of precice) so why all the time and process for the same result?, also no matter the size all of them the FDA said is 50lbs, also they said is more like advise than actual fact,  so simple question is

¿does precice max is full weight bearing? YES or NO.

Victor says in the comments that it’s predicted to be full weight-bearing. I haven’t yet watched the interview (doing so now), but my guess is that while it’s approved for safety its weight-bearing capacity has not yet been thoroughly tested. Clinical testing is multi-faceted and safety is usually the first trial done before testing efficacy and other measures.

Yes full weight bearing but they have to tell you the FDA officially only cleared it to 50 lbs, and you have to say ok.

Unless you are a mechanical or metallurgy engineer (which clearly you are not from your response), you should not make such blanket statements, it is a mix of metal, structure etc.

See this interview with Dr. Paley https://www.youtube.com/live/i8eVt0r1xoI?si=v3Phj0EFXZwY0P67. It probably has all the answers to your questions. I haven’t yet watched the full interview so I can’t provide any input on this.

Precise max is made of the same titanium as precise2 and it seems that FDA is not convinced about its weight bearing performance (my guess is either because of potential titanium fatigue or because of titanium corrosion or a maybe because of a bit of both). Keep in mind that Paley has a confict of interest here (or he is biased to say the leat) as he is the designer of max and stryde.

Yeah I'm gonna wait at least 2 years after Precise Max has been in use and read a lot of patient accounts before reaching a conclusion on it. How long was Stryde out before it was recalled?

Why don't you get some education and enhance your intellectual stature first? because you are a midget in that respect, just comparing metal without understanding the importance of other things like structure, done with you, too many uneducated low IQ guys here nowadays.

I am not sure about that but starting a new question here

can you trust precice max? I mean if you were to do the surgery right now and were given a choice between precice 2.2 and precice max.

Would you choose precice max over precice 2.2?

Because I would not. I think it will take at least a couple of years for doctors to truly understand the consequences of precice max, etc.

Agree. I would wait until max gets some history (some successful procedures done and results out) to rely on.

. You should do precise max as it’s the same material but with much lower risk of bending.
