Anyone else doing LL in Australia?

Interested to know what surgeons are operating in Australia at this time!

The only Australian surgeon doing this from what I've read on this forum is Dr O'Carrigan who you are seeing. Australian surgeons are by nature very conservative and reluctant to perform cosmetic limb lengthening compared to USA. There were some issues similar to what you went through where he and his nurse were telling people that it would only cost $20,000 and get covered on Medicare but when time came for surgery the real price came out and the bill was $100,000.

Overall he is meant to be a good surgeon but I think the price switch put alot of patients off. How has your experience been with him so far? You mentioned there were alot of evaluations to go through, how did you find them? Do you think they were necessary?

I know some Australian patients who traveled to Germany to get surgery with Dr Becker in Freiburg im breisgau (Germany). He has performed 100+ LL surgeries along with other plastic/cosmetic surgeries as well (he is a multispecialist). Australian patients said there were no good LL docs in Australia which is why they traveled to Germany.
