Heyyy guys long time no see, had my operations done in may 2024 with Dr Franz Birkholtz in SA, currently 7 and a half months post op with 7.5cm lengthened and im walking :>
gait is looking good, still need a bit of work. Slight tredelenburg on the right leg from hip flexor weakness.
I might be leaving this space soon but I might stay on the LL d server, have a diary posted up there with gait updates n stuff.
As for my experience, I literally had 0 complications and almost no pain throughout the journey besides the first few hours when I woke up. Made a lifelong friend as well who also had no pain. Maybe its just an East Asian thing haha, seeing how we're both Chinese ethnically.
I'd say the accomodation package included in the 3 months is freaking amazing especially rn since they moved up to the new house(they have a literal house dedicated to house CLL patients lmao). ngl im kinda salty cuz I was only able to live there for 2-3 weeks before having to fly back due to exams.
All in all, if you'd like to follow my walking gait updates feel free to join cyborg4life's d server(free promo

)
But yea, that's it from me ig. Did not expect this surgery/experience to be that easy. I definitely got lucky as i've seen other patients who felt more pain than I did. Seems like a genetics thing overall.
Ciao~
