8 months after LL on femur (2nd Leg)
« on: March 18, 2023, 05:01:01 PM »

Hello!

I got my first femur operation (the left one) at the end of February 2022.
The second one (the right one) was at the end of July 2022.

Defenitly the second has been by far the most complicate one. For the first one i just needed 4 nights at hospital, for the right one, at the morning of the 5th day I asked to stay more days in the hospital as the pain was too important, and the left one was still not strongth enough to bear all my weight.

But not just that, LL has been more painful, and i had some complications (one screw came out and i needed a new surgery). I finished LL at the beginning of November, but today the pain it is too important. Next week I am going to ask for a x-ray as i am suspecting that the other screw could have come out too. But its still not the worth.

The worst part is that every little movement I make, the muscles in my right femur seem to jump. Literally any muscle in the gluteal area or the front of the femur. It is a very unpleasant sensation that blocks me from moving forward with physiotherapy. I would like to know if there are people who have had the same problem. The sensation is as if the muscles jump, or change position, when I move my leg (even slightly).
I have tried to talk about this problem but I do not have a good relationship with the surgeon who operated on me.

Apart from this, the pain in the upper part of the knee (both left and right leg) is quite significant. When will it disappear? In the same way, the rigidity in the muscles, of the two legs, is very important. I am surprised that with the left leg (which was operated on more than a year ago) it is almost the same as the one on the right.

As information:
- I am doing physiotherapy 3 days a week.
- I continue my office work.
- I am a woman (is there a difference in recovery with men?)
- I had surgery in Europe with fitbone.
- The relationship with the surgeon is complicated. He doesn't usually respond when I inform him of something, or when I ask him to make an appointment for a check-up (x-ray, etc).
