How do you know if nerve pain is permanent
« on: February 19, 2023, 06:13:06 AM »

When I got my first x-ray, my left leg was 6mm more than my right leg, and 8 mm more than the suggested rate of 1 mm/day.  Some of this was due to accidental clicks, but not sure that accounts for the full 8 mm.  Anyway, I have considerable nerve pain in my left leg (none on my right).  I have since reduced the number of clicks, and while the nerve pain is easing up a little, it is still there and very painful.  I can deal with the temporary pain but want to make sure that this will go away after I stop lengthening and preferably, after a few more days of reduced clicks.  But mainly, I want to know that this won't be permanent.

Only time will tell. Or u can ask ur doc. Its possible that it will stay but most of it will probably be gone gradually.

Where is the pain?  Sciatic nerve like on the outer thigh?

I would say you want to keep track of nerve pain but numbness is probably more concerning because that means you're literally severing it.  Talk to your doctor tho.

If it never goes away you know it’s permanent  8)

If you click slower and slower it will heal up.
