For Becker, seems like:

- His city is more friendly for wheelchair users

- More luxurious experience, newer hospital compared to Athens

- Betzbone 2.0 may be possibly easier to click with than Gnail (Betzbone has less length per click I think?)

- Has access to a weight bearing internal option for tibias (Betzbone 2.0 for tibias)

- Betz/Becker have a record of doing greater lengths than Giotikas I think if you are interested in that direction

Advantages of Jean-Marc Guichet

- Paris and Milan location options if you like those locations or know French/Italian (I think both Giotikas and Jean-Marc Guichet have London options)

- More luxurious experience, newer hospital compared to Athens

- Uses a weight bearing option for internal tibias (Jean-Marc Guichet has g-nail for tibias as an option, but Giotikas uses gnail for femurs but not gnail tibias)

- Jean-Marc Guichet tries to optimize various things about your diet/exercise regime, gym training, diet, he is more hands on with these things (see recent Guichet diary)

-  You use the stationary bicycle in the hospital itself (I did not do this in Athens with Dimitrios Giotikas)

- I think Jean-Marc Guichet has a record of doing greater lengths than Giotikas I think if you are interested in that direction?

What other advantages are there? Do I have any errors above I should fix?

this is not really such a "pro" because thats highly patient dependent and a doctor willing to do ridiculous lengths is not a good thing

I think for Becker/Betz, i would add:

- Weight bearing options may potentially be better when it comes to malunion / non-union (may be incorrect, as opposed to those non-weight bearing)
- Betz/Becker is now generally the first option for weight bearing nails, they have the most experience in the market for this, their nail has lasted the test of time beyond Stryde
-Most diaries on here, are with Betz/Becker
-Germany, in my view, is a safer country to do it in, and far more regulated than other countries. It is one of the most advanced contries when it comes to medicine, and economically.

None of the above is replacement for medical advice from a specialist.

Agreed

When I see precise tibia patients IRL or on the forum stop at 3.5cm or 4cm after some tightness I think to myself "You can't stand up and bear weight. What if you had betzbone 2.0 in the tibias and could stand?" Not guaranteed to fix the problem but you gotta think it helps

Yeah I wonder if the culture will eventually change as more Becker/Guichet diaries come out

Ex: Paley even with weight bearing stryde tibias recommended 4-5 cm tibias

And then Betz sometimes said some people could do 8-10 cm tibias with betzbone 2.0

I think some recent becker patients doing just 4-6 cm might end up being a smart move in the long term for them

I haven't seen any cases of going above 5cm on tibs go badly with a good doctor. Donghoon Lee has done it, mahboubian does it, Paley let some guy do it atleast once, and he offers 8cm (although it is 4+4 over a long period of time on the tibias).

Truly I think the actual maxes for limb lengthening would be like 11cm femurs 9cm tibias but it would be a disaster for proportions on most people and obviously unacceptably risky so its good that people stick within the 13-16cm range at most. Always good to have a margin of safety and there's really very few cases where a patient would get 13cm and not become atleast average height or very close.
