Affordable country and doctor recommendation
« on: February 07, 2023, 02:43:00 PM »

In which country and doctor would it be reasonable to make 2023 prices?

USA is very expensive. I wouldn't do it even if I had the money.
Germany is expensive especially betz. I also don't know that there are complaints on this forum and outside the forum some people are very happy some are not.
I don't know if there are doctors or companies in Italy? would it be affordable?
Do you know any doctors or clinics in France? or England?
İndia is cheap but India doesn't seem safe to me.
Actually, the best place in terms of price and performance seems to be greece and turkey. (Provided you stay away from wannabetaller and livelifetaller)

I am looking for a really affordable country doctor or company.
Might be good research for most people on this forum. What are the appropriate method, country and doctor prices in 2023?
This surgery is very costly and will cost more than you think. You must have some extra money. Accommodation, food and transportation etc.
For example, you can't do this surgery in the USA with 100 thousand dollars, but you can easily do 2 in Greece or İndia etc.
These opinions are my personal opinions, you may not agree with me, correct me if I am wrong.

If you have information about countries, doctors, methods and prices, can you write?

Italy isn't a popular destination for forum members so there aren't a lot of good or bad experiences known here.  But yeah, they do have two LL doctors in the forum's directory, and the prices aren't outrageous.

France and England will be expensive just like the USA and Germany.

India has its issues but Dr. Parihar has had good results.

But Greece seems to be the best deal.

See you in Greece someday

I think the only other option not mentioned is with Dr. Birkholtz in South Africa, though I don't know if his price is competitive anymore. I remember it was at some point.

Emphasising budget I think Giotikas in Greece is a great option in EU. Would not go to Turkey or India

currently looking at giotikas  or Becker in Europe, probably giotikas . truly I really think it is unwise to go with any doctors who are lower tier than those two, not that they are bad doctors but they are of the cheapest level you can find and I still hold the American doctors (except debiparshad) over them due to American standards. Giotikas and Becker seem to get good results however I wouldn't do anything too risky with them. Im gonna do 8cm femurs with one of them unless I come into a lot of money and then do humerus and tibia with Assayag. Assayag is best option in USA price/experience  ratio wise. 60k for Precise 2 which in the usa is easily cheapest

100%

I still vote Becker over Giotikas because Becker has access to Betzbone 2.0 for tibias as an option down the line, but I could see either way. I think alot of the concerns about Betz were over the IT Band release issues but now Becker is doing things more standard/ closer to in line with other doctors. Another patient in Athens pointed out to me that if you can weight bear for internal tibias (use crutches), it may be easier to go back to work earlier compared to if you are in a wheelchair for precise tibias so that may be an effective cost offset for some people

The right leg clicking for gnail femurs is.. well it is what it is. I mean it was easy for 2.5cm-6cm for me. But for the other parts of the journey (beginning and end of the lengthening months), you may want to ask some other patients here. A few people in Athens wanted to stop early because of this right leg clicking (for the right leg for gnail, the big click is rotating the legs outward, which is more difficult than rotating inward). Might be good to talk to some other patients about it before you decide. Occasionally some people like Ozboy found it somewhat easy for most of his journey I admit, but if you message more people it will give a bigger picture. I mean the gnail is still a great device, I don't mean to smack talk it too much

Betzbone I believe is less length per click and the clicking videos of it look significantly easier

Ex: Might be good to PM the Dr. Jean-Marc Guichet patient (forum diary) who is also using gnail femurs now to ask him about the right leg, he has experience with it too obviously
