Do your legs look like foreign objects when doing LL?
« on: December 01, 2022, 06:31:54 PM »

Ive stuffed some socks on my knees under my pants about 2in in thickness to kind of get an idea what my femurs will look like and it just looks so different and foreign.

If youve done LL, do you get this feeling looking at your legs or they feel and look natural to you?

Yea I also tried to imagine what it will be like eg in the car with X amount of more femur length. I can tell you irl the answer is no. From the very beginning it feels like your normal legs. And the change is so slow that you are used to it. It always feels normal. Except from the reduced functionality of course but you get used to that too.

Makes sense, you adapt pretty fast to changes in your body.  Well thats good to hear that its not weird even for longer lengths.  But I look at my femurs extended and Im like "wow if I did any more length this would be so obvious".

NOT REALLY that obvious, I am walking now but I still think my legs are short when I look in the mirror. I am 5'9 1/2 barefoot.

My tibias look somehow disproportionate compared to my femurs. I lengthened a lot after all (7,5cm) and I had small legs to begin with.
Sometimes when I wear slim jeans they look a little too tall to me but I would never trade 1-2 ofthe cm I got to look more proportionate. At my initial height (almost 1,69) what mattered most was to get the most cms I could.
And also noone else notice ever my disproportionate feet. I can guarantee that. LL is super rare, noone even think that someone could have made it.

Hows life being 5ā€™9.5?  Thats exactly how tall ill be when Im done lengthening (planning 5cm). Do you feel confident in all situations or are there times you wish you were taller?

I will be honest.
It is way better than being less than 5.7, almost a different world. But yes, I would still like to be taller only  to feel more dominant towards women, especially at night where they wear heels and we are about the same height and many times they are even taller. This is something I still don't have and I believe that I would need at least 2 inches more to achieve it. Even my gf who is 5.5 is almost the same height as me if she wears high heels but I always use 1 inch insoles so with shoes I appear a little bit taller than I am in reality. And even this inch is important because it keeps me at a clearly taller height than my gf and I feel better. And I am sure she feels better too with being clearly shorter than me. I should mention here that she doesn't know I have these small insoles on my shoes.

Also I am trying my best to keep a muscular physique. I feel much better being more bulk than the average man and I am sure that even if I were taller I would still want to be muscular. But now with my current height it is of major importance for me to remain muscular otherwise I feel less confident, not only with women but men too.

But thats me. Maybe you will be completely fine with that height which is a respectable one. In my country the average height is 5.10,5 so I am one inch shorter than that in the morning. In a country where the average height is 5.9 I am sure I would have felt even better.

Good perspective, appreciate the input.   Id say the average is probably 5'10.5 as well where I live.

At a true 5'9.5 you can wear 1 inch shoes (sneakers) and be 5'10.5.  That means a 5'7 girl can wear 3 inch heels and youre still slightly taller than her.  To me thats pretty damn good and its all I need.  Girls over 5'7 are tall and they know it.  Thats on them.  You're not going to get sh!t for it and if you do who cares because its baseless.  A tall girl wearing stilts on her feet being taller than you is no big deal.

Completely agree on gaining size btw.  Makes a huge difference.

I did my surgery more than a decade ago and gained 7,5cm on tibias. I am one of the oldest LL'ers (not in age but when I had my procedure) still active in this forum.
And I don't plan any other LL in the future (at least not distant) for many reasons.

How much are you anticipating lengthening at Betz? Iā€™m scheduled for G-Nail next month so similar to you! Hope you get the results you desire!

Likewise!  Best of luck to you.  Im going for 5CM.  2 inches is all I need to feel normal and then I have a shot of my family not finding out.  Although its still going to be hard to hide because my dad is 5'9 and all of a sudden ill be half an inch taller than him rather than 1.5 inches shorter.

How often do women even wear heels that you plan a 6-figure procedure and 6 months to a year of pain to appease her 1 hour a week of shoe-wearing?  Seems misguided to limb lengthen for a woman's high-heel preference/whim.

7.5 on tibs wow. thats my absolute max goal.  How was your recovery? people on here act like 7.5 on tibs will ruin you forever however I see many cases where people are totally fine afterward.  How long did it take you to be able to do most atheletic activities well?
