Going from 5'4 to 5'7
« on: September 25, 2022, 08:54:42 PM »

Hi guys, I am booking consultation with Dr Paley for November if the appointment is still available. They book very quickly. Hopefully from there surgery will be in January as those slots are also booking quickly.

I am wondering has anyone experience going from 5'4 to 5'7? I think it goes from extremely short to socially passable short/lower end of average. If someone has had this change, how did it improve your dating life, experiences in social situations, your self-conciousness, etc? Tbh I don't think I have strong height neurosis like I did when I was younger. However, I think there are objective societal benefits that will come by going from 5'4 to 5'7.

Going from short to slightly below average removes the negative aspects attached to it when standing near other people, but doesn't add anything to your self-worth, if you didn't have that before already. The subconscious comparison of heights between me and others in public has completely disappeared.

Around normal height, personality and face should outweigh the outcome in dating. It should not be a deal breaker for women who are willing to check for personality, so there's that advantage.

I don't think adding the new height in a dating profile changes anything, because girls assume you are around normal height if there's no hint. But I can't say for sure since I don't use dating apps even after LL. But I would never blame height again as a factor after having gone to normal height, even if I failed in dating.

Another benefit is clothing and chairs. I assume with below average height you would not fit in all of those...

Went from 5’5 to 5’8. Still in recovery as I had frames removed 2 months ago. Going outside I feel like I’m average now when I wear my air forces. But average in today’s time is still short haha.
As for dating I’m not sure yet the difference but I’d assume your pool would be slightly increased not much as most women have a minimum of atleast 5’10 which you could prob get to with insoles but that would just lead to more insecurity.

I was around this range...just over 5'5" to just under 5'8".  You fall in the category where CLL makes the most difference.  I feel different totally now.  I will never be the tallest person in the room, but sometimes I'm no longer the shortest person in the room, and it feels good after so many years being in that category.  You'll be glad you did it.

What is your exact height in centimeters? 172.5? I feel like going from 5'5 to 5'8 is less of a deal than going from 5'3 to 5'8. Just gauging responses. Would you want to do the surgery again on your Tibias?

Also, can you say how old you are?

I think mid day 172ish not sure haven’t measured to that precision haha. I’m 21. Tbh I haven’t really fully got back into society yet on the streets with good footwear I’m no longer “short”. I’ll have to see the difference when going on dates tho. I used to wear 1.5 insoles so that would bring me close to 5’7 now if I do that I’ll be 5’10 ish. But i don’t want to start relying on insoles as that’s what led me to my huge height neurosis in the first place.

I see. Do you feel a huge confidence boost? Also, are you on LiveLifeTaller's YouTube page? I think I saw an interview from you on there.

Gotta wait till I’m a bit more functional tho. If u want to ask me questions I can give u my ig through dm
