How long before locking screws were removed
« on: September 19, 2022, 04:30:24 AM »

People with protruding/backed out locking screws, how long did you need to wait before you were able to remove them?

I’m about 4 weeks into consolidation, My proximal screw on my left is causing pretty bad pain to my glute/itb area whenever I make certain movements - also have noticed some decreased rom when i do stretches due to severe pain if I try to push through.

for all intents of purposes, the bone should be fully healed.
removing a single locking screw too fast will lead to collapse of the bone if it cannot structurally bear weight in its own

I see, do you think it is worth the operation to put the screw back in.
