STRYDE Effectiveness + Is it coming back
« on: May 11, 2022, 01:40:15 AM »

I am very confused about what STRYDE actually did vs what Precise weight bearing can do.

I saw a video of some guy walking days after surgery from Debiparshad using stryde. obviously, not a very good walk, but still an unassisted walk. Is this what stryde made possible? as long as you have some level of mobility it would make the surgery much easier.

So in my mind, I think I should probably just wait till this returns to get this surgery (not that I have a choice, my net worth is $1,000 and I prefer to remain uncrippled, so im doing this in America) but I see people now saying it won't ever return. I also see rumors of a Stryde 2.0.

I would not have done LL if it wasn’t for Stryde. I know some people managed to take care of themselves for a few months without the ability to stand on their own, but I can’t imagine how difficult that would have been. I could drive around and go to PT or go grocery shopping by myself while I was lengthening, but that would have been much harder on precice.

It’ll probably be quite a few years before something new is on the market. I’m sure Nuvasive was making bank with Stryde though so they should def be working on something.
