Questions for people who have researched Dr. Parihar alot
« on: December 20, 2021, 07:08:45 AM »

1. Does he over a weigh bearing internal nail for femurs? Which?

I am a bit confused in research, it seems it might be only precise 2 right now?

2. What are the disadvantages of doing internal femur LL with Dr. Parihar versus Dr. Giotikas in Greece? Ex: nails, city, expense

Originally, I planned to do internal femur with Gioitikas  in the fall and then internal tibia with Parihar a year later and had a 150K USD budget for all of this. I won't be able to add much more to this, maybe like 8k USD more max

But with the high inflation (and also I may need to push the first LL to January of 2023), I wonder if my buying power will just be whittled down so much as to make this plan unrealistic. Which makes me wonder if I should instead do internals for both with Dr. Parihar to save money

What are your thoughts on the numbered questions 1 and 2 above?

You should always pick safety over money. Personally, I think Dr. Leonid Solomin is the best “budget” leg lengthening doctor out there.

I remember back in 2014 he had considered using the G-Nail along with the Synoste nail if it were to be released with good results to back it up. As far as I'm aware, he still only uses Precice 2.2 and externals/hexapod/LON, but if the situation with Stryde doesn't improve it may be worth asking if he's looking into using the G-nail again.

Dr Parihar can only be beat by very few orthopeduc doctors when it comes to experience as he got into this in the late 80's. So the only disadvantage I can see is related to how much doing it in India bothers you. If you have that kinda money though you could be very comfortable at a nice hotel for the duration of your lengthening in Mumbai, but you would have to keep in mind the covid situation there as well as have to take preventative medication for things like malaria.

What methods and nails does Solomon use?

He does pure externals, LON, and LATN.
