What machine handheld massagers were worth it vs not worth it in your experience?

This KT Massage ball worked well. You can make it cold or hot. I did not use a handheld machine massager.

Somebody knows if vibration massagers (cold, hot, or neutral?) in general help on consolidation? (Maybe doctors mentioned something).
On the one hand they improve circulation which is good  (also "positive" stress in the bone callus joint??), on the other hand I am afraid, specially in external fixation, that vibration worsens pain due to movement or tearing due to contact between muscles and soft tissues with wires (or screws, or nails).

I have a vibrating pillow that can be put below legs or tights or even supporting the ass while lying on the bed, and localized vibrator as above with 3 balls. They make you feel good and lower pain but don't know if they are a good tool to LL. Intend to ask doctors.

Made the muscles feel less tight/feel good?

What are your thoughts on those massagers that are electric "guns" and have a small ball hit your muscles multiple times (percusive or something they call it)?

For 3 weeks after surgery, the cold ball helps reduce the swelling on the legs. After that, use the hot ball for muscle tightness, which helps loosen and soothe the muscles, and reduce muscle aches.

No comment on the electric massage machines, since I did not use them.
